“I was wowed by it, personally… profoundly spiritual… does touch on a lot of themes that are very relevant to the World Future Society.… another voice of hope for progress… In Humanity 2.0: The Transcension, Messenger describes a new evolutionary stage for the human species that she says is now under way: Communication networks are flourishing, cultural barriers are breaking down, and individuals everywhere are attaining new levels of empathy, insight, and awareness.” – Rick Doksai, associate editor THE FUTURIST, World Future Society,

Bud Gardner, co-author Chicken Soup for the Writer’s Soul:  “This uplifting, inspirational, heartfelt book offers a unique plan for transforming one’s life.”

Writer’s Digest contest judge: “In a time of bleak news dominating even bleaker TV news programs, death and wars on other continents, unrest here in the U.S. and abroad, and all the other ills of humanity, this is a rather amazing, uplifting and soulful little book on the hopefulness of the future.”

John S. Brennan, Founding Dean, Regis University’s (Denver) School for Professional Studies: “Of all the spiritual authors and texts I have read the most comforting, readable, and flowing. As a reader of over 95 books on spirituality and a career of 40+ years (teaching in adult learning psychology and mentoring 150 graduate folks through masters programs, both genders, diverse cultural backgrounds).… I am impressed…. This book has a clarity of notions and perspectives and use of words that reach hearts and create motivation in others to embrace the generic nature of spiritual issues, while not creating fear of personal recrimination for considering their inner voice by attending to and/or honoring their spirit’s beckoning…. Charol has much to offer all of us.”

Sedona Journal of Emergence: New & Notable:  “… prophetic reflections on humanity’s next evolutionary step….”

John W. Parker, Dialogues with Emerging Spiritual Teachers: “… reflects a growing awareness that the planet is going through a huge shift in consciousness….”

Marty Segal, New Age Publishing Co., Miami: “A welcome addition to the universal journey of awakening. Nicely done!”

Judith Coates, co-author of Jeshua, The Personal Christ:  “Wonderfully in alignment with the information we have been receiving….”

Barbara Munson, Circles of Life Foundation, A Reason for Optimism: “Singularly positive and hopeful, this book made me feel good about myself while helping me understand who I am.”

Ursula Joy, Reiki master: “Fantastic! I could hardly put it down. Charol has a marvelous way of saying the most profound statements in an easy, casual way.”

Linda Schiller-Hanna, clairvoyant and lightworker: “Charol Messenger’s voice is untainted with ego. Here is a crystal-clear, heart-driven message that will bring you peace.”

This book has won several regional and national awards. It also invoked a personal interview with The Futurist magazine.

The primary message is that the human race is evolving, physically and spiritually. One of the unique and original topics is that we all started out as angels, as the first generation of human beings.

Now, today, the human race is in its second-only evolutionary leap. This means an activated dormant molecule string in our DNA, an expanding brain capacity, and increasing psychic abilities (telepathy, clairvoyance).

In addition to physical evolution (we did not begin as apes; they are a different species entirely), we humans are also growing in spiritual awareness (e.g., increasing compassion). All the global uprisings are signs of discontent with the old ways. It means we are no longer satisfied with the status quo. We are learning to think for ourselves, take responsibility, and think collectively.

This is all happening now. It began in the 1970s. The 2011 Arab Spring is an indicator of a massive global shift in how people everywhere are arising into a need for self-realization. We are also seeing a massive increase in compassion. In other words, we can no longer sit by and do nothing in the face of crises, cruelty, and violence. We are appalled. We are adamant. We are involved. We are doing something to make the world a better place.

This book shows the origin of humanity and our future—centuries and millennia ahead. It also tells us how to be the kind of person who is living in a new and better way.

We are now going through the Transcension.

The word “Transcension” first came to me in writings in 1982, again in 1994, and since then in my online blog since 2011. In the last year, this phrase was picked up out of the ethers by two other people that I know of. I also first received the phrase “the new humanity” in 1994, the first version of Humanity 2.0; that phrase also has seeped into the mainstream since then (as has the phrase, Humanity 2.0). The Cosmic Mind!

THE FUTURIST interviews

Charol Messenger, spiritual and futurist author

People today don’t just have more technology than their ancestors; they actually have more intelligence and a heightened sense of right and wrong. Just ask the neuroscientists who have documented an increase of more than 10 points in the average adult’s cognition since the 1980s; as well as the Flynn Effect, a rise in global IQ scores since the 1940s. They’re not entirely sure why these mental advancements are occurring, but they vouch that our brains are fundamentally higher-functioning than those of any generation that preceded us.

As for our ethics, Harvard psychologist Steven Pinker and Tulane University political scientist Christopher Fettweis both authored books in which they note declines in warfare and violence worldwide over the last century, and reasons to believe that the world will become steadily more peaceful in decades ahead. You can see THE FUTURIST’s reviews of both books—Pinkers’s The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined; and Fettweis’ Dangerous Times?: The International Politics of Great Power Peace—here and here, respectively.

Recently, FUTURIST associate editor Rick Docksai spoke with another voice of hope for progress, the futurist and spiritual author Charol Messenger. In her latest book, Humanity 2.0: The Transcension, Messenger describes a new evolutionary stage for the human species that she says is now under way: Communication networks are flourishing, cultural barriers are breaking down, and individuals everywhere are attaining new levels of empathy, insight, and awareness. She shared her thoughts with Docksai in this interview….
